About Me.
I am a licensed certified social worker with over twenty years of experience supporting individuals and families through life's most challenging moments. My journey in mental health began with a deep belief that everyone deserves compassionate, understanding care tailored to their unique circumstances and strengths.
Throughout my career, working in high schools and personal life with five boys and a "bonus daughter" of my own, I have developed expertise in working with adolescents, understanding the complex developmental, social, and emotional challenges that are faced today. I am passionate about helping parents and teens formulate supportive relationships, and helping teens navigate identity formation, peer relationships, academic pressures, and family dynamics during these formative years.
My practice encompasses a wide range of areas including grief and loss, life transitions, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. I work closely with parents and teens to strengthen family relationships and improve communication. Additionally, I provide couples therapy to help partners build stronger, more connected relationships.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals adjusting to chronic illness, pain, and disability, recognizing the profound impact these experiences have on mental health and daily functioning.
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and culturally responsive. I believe in meeting each client where they are and creating a safe, non-judgmental space where healing and growth can occur. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or seeking personal growth, I am here to support you on your journey toward greater well-being and fulfillment.
