About Me.
I believe that every person is capable of overcoming challenges. Therapy is a powerful tool to empower the individual, teach coping skills, heal, and discover oneself. My therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.
Trauma can look different to each individual. As a therapist, I am committed to validating your experience. Above all, my approach is to have you feel seen and heard. I strive to meet each person where they are and use a person centered approach for their treatment.
I utilize a variety of modalities during my sessions. Some of the modalities include: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy ( DBT) and Motivational Interviewing ( MI).
Over the course of my professional history, I have worked with a variety of populations such as chronic pain management, substance abuse, foster care, adults with disabilities, geriatrics, and hospice. In my spare time I enjoy tending my house plants, gardening, baking, camping and photography.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating. I recognize the courage it takes to start therapy. When you’re ready, I’m here.
